These Terms govern your use of Screenplay.Ink, a digital screenwriting and film production management application provided as a Software as a Service (SaaS). By using our platform, website, or services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

By accessing or using Screenplay.Ink, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization or production company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Screenplay.Ink. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

To access certain features of our platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized breach or use of your credentials.

Screenplay.Ink offers a comprehensive suite of tools designed for modern screenwriters, showrunners, and producers, including but not limited to:

• Real-time collaborative writing: Multi-user screenplay authoring and commenting.
• Automated industry formatting: Studio-standard formatting adhering to global screenwriting conventions.
• Blockchain IP registration: Immutable timestamping and intellectual property verification for story assets.
• Producer OS management tools: Breakdown, scheduling, budgeting, and physical production workflow synchronization.
• AJA Intelligence tools: AI-enabled character analysis, prewriting assistance, and narrative consistency auditing.

All services provided are subject to these Terms and any supplementary guidelines published for specific production tools.

Our IP: All platform architecture, software, UI design, graphics, trademarks, and proprietary tools on Screenplay.Ink are the property of AJASTOS FILM TECHNOLOGY LABS PVT LTD or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute our proprietary software.

Your IP & User Content: You retain full copyright and ownership over all screenplays, story treatments, notes, and production assets you create or upload on Screenplay.Ink. By submitting or storing content on our platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free technical license solely to host, encrypt, backup, and display your content as necessary to operate the platform and deliver services to you and your authorized collaborators.

Your use of the platform is subject to our Privacy Policy. We collect, process, and store personal and creative data in strict accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using Screenplay.Ink, you consent to our data practices as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Access to Screenplay.Ink requires an active paid subscription or trial access. Pricing, billing cycles, and tier features are published on our official website. By subscribing, you authorize us and our designated payment gateways to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen billing plan until cancelled.

This section consolidates our official Refund, Cancellation, and Beta Access policies. Please read these terms carefully before subscribing to our Beta releases.

a. No Refund Policy (General Rule)

Due to the heavily discounted pricing offered for the Beta Access Plan (₹2,999/year compared to the standard ₹9,999/year rate), all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or credits for partially used billing periods, except under the specific circumstances detailed below.

b. Eligible Refund Circumstances

We will honor refund requests exclusively under the following two conditions:

• Persistent Technical Failure: If you encounter a major, reproducible technical fault that entirely prevents you from accessing core writing or saving features of the platform, and our engineering team is unable to resolve or mitigate the issue within a reasonable timeframe.
• Duplicate Payment / Billing Error: If your payment method was erroneously charged multiple times for the exact same subscription invoice due to a gateway or system error.

⏱️ Claim Window: To be eligible for a refund under technical failure or duplicate billing, you must submit a formal request to hello@screenplay.ink within 7 days of the transaction date.

c. Subscription Cancellations & Renewals

• You may cancel your subscription at any time directly through your Account Settings dashboard.
• Cancelling your subscription prevents future recurring charges but does not initiate a refund for the current billing cycle. You will retain full access to all paid features until the expiration of your active billing period.
• To prevent automatic annual renewal, cancellation requests must be processed at least 7 days prior to your scheduled renewal date.

d. Upgrades, Downgrades & Exceptional Cases

During the Beta phase, subscription tier upgrades or downgrades are suspended until standard commercial tiers are officially deployed. We reserve the right to make unilateral exceptions to this refund policy in cases of proven unauthorized payment use or extraordinary extenuating circumstances at the discretion of our management team.

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

• Using the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
• Uploading, executing, or transmitting viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any harmful code designed to disrupt cloud infrastructure.
• Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our servers, authentication systems, or blockchain verification nodes without prior written authorization.
• Scraping, data mining, or utilizing automated bots to extract user data or creative content from the platform.
• Harassing, threatening, or infringing upon the creative and privacy rights of other writers and producers on the network.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Screenplay.Ink and AJASTOS FILM TECHNOLOGY LABS PVT LTD, its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, creative assets, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the platform.

Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AJASTOS FILM TECHNOLOGY LABS PVT LTD and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from: (a) your violation of any term of these Terms; (b) your violation of any third-party right, including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights; or (c) any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party.

These Terms and your relationship with Screenplay.Ink shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including formation, interpretation, breach, or termination thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and revoke access to the platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, if we determine in our sole discretion that you have materially breached these Terms, engaged in unauthorized scraping or hacking, or conducted activities detrimental to the Screenplay.Ink community and server stability.

Upon termination, your right to use the software ceases immediately. You may request an export of your proprietary screenplays and story data within 30 days of termination, subject to verification.
